There will be an E3 wrap-up show on Friday, but (as you may have noticed), there’s no new episode today, June 2. We’re also taking next week off, as Adam and Alicia are going on their belated honeymoon. Hopefully we’ll get back into a regular thing soon!
This week, Adam shares two “faux-retro” gaming experiences he’s had in the past few weeks, apologizes profusely for the delay in new episodes of the show, and begs you unashamedly for input. Extended info past the break »
Coming this Tuesday, May 26.
Like, for reals.
It’s gonna blow your mind.
…Okay, well, I can’t actually prove that. But it’s gonna be pretty good.
It’s been two months today since our last episode. There have been a few reasons for the delay: a wedding, work, house hunting, a lack of interesting-sounding topics, and general malaise on my part towards the podcast.
None of the reasons I gave there really need any explaining, except perhaps the last one. I’ve been out of sorts when it comes to the show, mostly because I just don’t know who out there—besides myself, Duggar, my dad, and a few friends—is listening. I’m going to attempt to put the podcast in another stat tracker to figure out that very question, but other than that, I don’t know what to do. My calls for emails and/or voicemails at the end of each show seem to fall on deaf ears, and FeedBurner can only go so far in telling who’s getting the ‘cast, and from where, so I’m kind of at a loss. If there’s no one out there to speak of who’s actually listening to the show, then what purpose does it serve, anyway?
Let’s be honest: TUMP is nowhere near being the best podcast on the Web, not even the best video game-related podcast. But it’s mine, and as long as I know there’s interest out there, I’ll try my best to keep it going.
So I place the onus on you, readers and listeners. Let me know what we’re doing right at the show, what we’re doing wrong, what you’d like us to talk about, and anything else. The show’s for you, not for us. Just talk to us, already!
You know the address, and the phone number. And if you don’t, they’re on this page, right here. Get talking!
This week, Adam tells us about a bad gaming experience he had recently, and invites the listenership to share their own tales of pixelated woe at uncommonmail@gmail.com.
And he apologizes now for the episode’s title. Really. Sorry about that. Extended info past the break »
In this episode, Adam laments the lack of news and reader mail, and recalls what he’s been playing this past week. Extended info past the break »
And now for something completely random. Taint taint taint taint taint. Please to enjoy visit for a coming! Thankyou to the thank. Extended info past the break »
Continuing with our “introduction” series (a convenient way to keep the show going week after week, incidentally), Duggar interviews his co-host Adam, who recalls his fond gaming memories and inspirations for the show. Extended info past the break »
In this episode, Adam discusses a recent Forbes rundown on the rhythm game rivalry, and ruminates on the lack of research in reporting on games. Also: I adore alliteration. Annoying? Aye. Artful, though.
